If you're passionate about books and reading, and if you happen to be around, this is a beautiful local public library worth visiting. It opened in February 2000, and is located in the building "Durán i Reynals", which was the workshop of the sculptor Josep Clarà i Ayats (Olot, 1878 - Barcelona, 1958). Clarà's work represents the classical reaction of the Mediterranean root against the modernism of the Germanic root and the Rodin Impressionism. The great part of the legacy of his works are in the Museum of the Garrotxa in Olot and in the National Museum of Art of Catalonia (MNAC) in Barcelona. The Library building was totally rehabilitated and adapted to the needs of a modern library. Since 2001, it is part of the Consorci de Biblioteques de Barcelona.
I have never been in such a noisy library! very disappointing experience. The librarian is a poorly educated and very noisy person, no respect for the user, it seems like he is in a market and not in a library. the cultural offer very poor. a shame, well managed and could be a wonderful library, instead it is neglected, it is clear that they work without enthusiasm.
very good
The library is good. The man who serves works without enthusiasm and with poor attention. The girl is a little better but they are not professionals to be in front of the public and give a correct image of the service, it seems like they are doing you a favor. The schedules are great for workers and bad for users.
Special collection made up of a selection of books and magazines that made up the private library of the sculptor Josep Clarà and his family. The sculpture garden is located where Clarà's house had been, which became a museum (1969-1995). When it was demolished, the collection was dispersed between the Olot museum, the Ciutadella Museum of Modern Art and the streets and squares of the Sarrià-Sant Gervasi district.
The librarian at the entrance does not meet any of the requirements to attend even by phone (hanging up in a bad manner on a user's claim while I wait at the counter), and less competent in dealing with the public, I paying for his general bad predisposition and his bad mood. Due to the context of the conversation on the phone, this subject ignored the user's arguments, claiming that he had just returned from vacation. He then hangs up the phone with "...yes, you're always right about everything." The guy doesn't know how lucky he is to have that job, nor does he care in the least to treat people with respect. Total, your job is insured! If I can avoid it, I won't go back to "Clarà". That if that is "Clear". Regrettable experience.
Disastrous schedule. There is a lack of equipment in the neighborhood. We pay for the equipment of other neighborhoods with the redistribution of our wealth through CONFISCATORY TAXES. It's over.
Revista Emprendedores from 2 years ago, I ask for an alternative and they give me The Economist (only in English) and Alternativa Económica, an ideological magazine of left-leaning Colau and friends that talks about rights but nothing about how to generate wealth through entrepreneurship or nothing similar, a real shame to compare this with Emprendedores magazine.
And I'm not saying this for the lady who met me, very polite and professional, but for the person who decides to replace a very good entrepreneurship magazine with a left-wing advertising one without any contribution or financial proposal, a shame in my opinion...
Very beautiful building, very professional and attentive staff 👍
